Pulp Cover Friday
What a week. I didn’t think I was going to make even this short post, but shouldering the awesome responsibilities of being a blogger, I have dragged myself to my office and put together this brief Pulp Cover Friday so that all you cheese consumers will know that I’m still alive.
Earlier this week I did something to my back. Don’t ask me what. I don’t know. All I know is that I was fine when I sat down to work but when I tried to stand up and stretch a bit I was in sudden agonizing pain. I spent the next couple of days scuttling around the house like an old crab. I diagnosed the problem as muscular not disc-related (most of my room mates at Stony Brook were pre-med, so I am qualified to do this) and I believe I was correct. Today was the first day I felt capable of driving (and I was getting tired of having peanut butter sandwiches for lunch) so I dragged myself to the car in only a semi-hunched over position, only to discover that the battery was dead. Damnit.
Thank god for AAA. That all taken care of, and now back from having fried chicken at Golden Pride (they used to be called Golden Fried, but changed their name to sound healthier. Fortunately, they did not change their chicken.) I just have time to throw up a couple of wild Frank Paul covers from some early issues of Amazing.
And they are pretty amazing. I’ll just leave you all to gaze at them in awe. My next post, if all my body parts and household appliances stay in relative working order, will be my year in movies, listing the best 50 or so movies I saw this year.
Thanks for reading and all please have a safe, healthy, and prosperous New Year, and don’t forget to revisit your friends at Cheese Magnet often. Thanks.
